How to get a Windows 7 start menu in Windows 8

If you want to change the Windows 8 start menu  back to the Windows 7 version, here’s what you need to do:

 

  1. Launch the registry editor (win+r > regedit >enter)
  2. Drill down to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
  3. Double-click on RPEnabled
  4. Change the value from 1 to 0 (zero)
  5. Tap enter or click OK

The event, which took place April 26–28, 2011, at the Crowne Plaza City Centre in Cleveland, Ohio, brought together more than 120 attendees from around the world.

Rolling Power Outage in Dallas Today

Oncor Energy has started emergency, 15 minute power outages around the Dallas area today to protect the grid.  Neat.
