Ethan thinks that he is ready for a puppy.  So we will begin the search with the local animal rescues and shelters since these are the animals that really need good homes.  We have a local no-kill shelter called Operation Kindness (www.operationkindness.org) that is the place we will start.  They have been in the business of saving animals lives for over 30 years.  Stay tuned for more developments as the search progresses.

So Ethan really cannot decide what type of dog he wants so we are going to go to Operation Kindness tomorrow to let him look and see what he thinks might be a good dog.  According to him he wants a small white dog…  that doesn’t help me much.  I will let you know what we find tomorrow.  Stay tuned.

As you can see by Darren’s video post – we now have a dog!!  A cute little rat terrier puppy named Evan.  Since he was born in a shelter today is his first day in a real home.  It will take him awhile just to explore the house and see everthing that is here.  Stay tuned for more developments as we all learn what it takes to raise a puppy!
